I would like to take this opportunity to seek forgiveness to you out there that have read my blog. If I offended you in any way eg. From my blog or replying any comments, I’m sorry aite. May we always be protected from harm. Amiin.
Here is a tiny fact that I wanted to share with our non-muslim. #sharingiscaring taken from the net.
Eid al-Fitr “festival of breaking of the fast”), is an important day celebrated by Muslims worldwide that marks the end of Ramadan, the Islamic holy month of fasting. The religious Eid is a single day during which Muslims are not permitted to fast. The holiday celebrates the conclusion of the 29 or 30 days of dawn-to-sunset fasting during the entire month of Ramadan. The day of Eid, therefore, falls on the first day of the month of Syawal. The date for the start of any lunar Hijri month varies based on the observation of new moon by local religious authorities, so the exact day of celebration varies by locality.Eid al-Fitr has a particular prayer consisting of two rakaats and generally offered in an open field or large hall. It may be performed only in congregation.
So people Eid al-Fitr is not a Muslim new year. But if you did not get it right is ok it’s a celebration after all and a very good day too.
